Welcome to the Sarajevo Canton Representation Office in Brussels!

At this place we would like to present the activities of our representation office, and inform you about our work, institutional and project activities and the way we cooperate with European partner regions, institutions and associations.

In the section Cooperation we explain meaning of our cross-boarder and interregional cooperation with other European regions, involvement in the euro macro regional strategies such as Danube, Adriatic and Mediterranean strategies, as well as our participation in important European associations and networks. We opened the possibility for cooperation with the other cantons within the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as cooperation with the Bosnian and Herzegovinian Diaspora in order to create a better network and synergy of human resources which live outside Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The section EU in BiH gives you an overview on programs, instruments and institutions relevant for the initiation and realization of the EU integration process in Bosnia and Herzegovina as well the EU institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

In the section Promoting Sarajevo Canton, we are promoting the economic and touristic potentials, as well as the cultural heritage of our canton and B&H. In promotion of cultural heritage we are strengthening the cooperation with cultural associations in the Sarajevo Canton as well as cultural associations outside Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Sarajevo Canton Representation Office in Brussels, in cooperation with other partners and NGO’s, established two new platforms. Through the “Sarajevo Youth” we aim to inform youngsters from the Sarajevo Canton and Bosnia and Herzegovina about the European Union’s youth projects and to encourage them to publish their project ideas and exchange opinions and experiences with youngsters from all over the Europe. The second one is the "Sarajevo-EU Citizens" platform which aims to establish interaction with NGOs and EU projects that will encourage citizen’s projects.

Through our Representation office in Brussels, the Sarajevo Canton wants to give full information to the citizens and the institutions of the Sarajevo Canton as well as to all the others interested in the process of EU integration and the manner of successful applying for the projects financed from EU funds.
